Roaming the Dolomites

I wish I could write something that would live up to these photos but I'm speechless - the views, the light and the love shared between Malone + Jeremy made this the most beautiful experience of my life.

Seceda

Day 1 was spent more casually - we took the cable car up to the Seceda Ridgeline and stepped out to the most breathtaking views. We hiked steep trails, feeling like mountain goats perched on the rocks, the sound of cowbells echoing throughout the valley. Malone + Jeremy picnicked, played ping pong, and frolicked through the fields. We laid in the sun and talked forever - enough for my skin to be singed by the sun - before grabbing a summit beer at one of the cute Hüttes on the mountaintop.

Lago di Braies

Day 2 was a whirlwind spent chasing all that we could soak up - chasing busses and trekking across town to reach the most stunning views.

We started mid-morning heading out to Lago di Braies, that lake with the boats on pristine turquoise water you've probably seen at least once in your life. First taking in the views from the shore, then hopping in a rowboat to relax in the lake. Out on the water, Malone + Jeremy took a moment to write their vows - in a vaguely Peter Pan-themed whimsical notebook they collected in Rome, with a pen they picked up at the Libreria Acqua Alta in Venice. A moment to soak in together before renewing their vows at the top of the world.

Tre Cime di Lavaredo

And at the prettiest place I've ever seen in my life, after 8 years together and 3 years married, Malone + Jeremy renewed their promises to each other. Building on what they've experienced so far, looking forward to the adventures to come - like this one and the many more they'll share.

We hiked up to the Punto Panoramico Cadini di Misurina just before the sun dipped behind the grand mountains, the alpine glow showing just how majestic this place is. A slight chill in the air, warmed by cuddling together as the final rays faded to dusk.
